Yellowstone multi-day packages: 2-day to 5-day tours with lodging

In short: four multi-day options. The two-day from Jackson is the Editor’s pick — both Upper and Lower loops, overnight in Gardiner or Chico, lunches both days. For longer trips, the Salt Lake City packages run three to five days with cabin or hotel lodging bundled, climbing toward an all-inclusive wildlife trip. There is also a rare five-day with in-park lodging at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge itself — worth considering if sleeping inside the park matters to you.
Two-day option$650, both loops, overnight arranged
Three-day from SLC$948, forest cabin, both parks
Five-day cabin$1,502, small group, western cabins
Five-day in-park lodge$2,112, Old Faithful Snow Lodge, new listing
Four-day wildlife$2,199, Jackson, all-inclusive, Lamar Valley focus
Per-day range$300–$550 depending on days and lodging style

The $650 two-day tour (both loops, Editor’s pick)

Jackson: 2-Day Yellowstone National Park Tour with Lunches (31559). Two days, two nights or overnight in Gardiner (north entrance) or Chico Hot Springs (near Gardiner). Covers BOTH the Upper Loop (Lamar Valley, Mammoth Hot Springs, Norris Geyser Basin) and Lower Loop (Old Faithful, Canyon, Hayden Valley) with lunches both days. Lodging cost is separate from the $650 tour price; you book your room directly. 5.0☆ from 180 reviews. Reviewer Candace: "Very good tour with lots of great information. Our guide Joe was outstanding." Jessie: "We saw so much wildlife and saw all the main attractions in the parks." This is the one you pick if you have two days and want to see everything Yellowstone offers.

The $948 three-day package (Salt Lake City, forest cabin)

Salt Lake City: Yellowstone & Grand Teton 3-Day Tour (462827). Three days from Salt Lake City (roughly a long morning’s drive; I’d leave at dawn). Stays in a forest cabin near Yellowstone. Covers both parks. Reviewers mention a hot-spring swim spot, so pack a swimsuit. 5.0☆ from 8 reviews (small review base, but all positive). Alina: "Recommendation to take swimming suit cause there was a nice spot hot springs." Daryna: "Seen all the best spots." About $316 per day with lodging included.

Small Group Yellowstone & Grand Teton 5-Day Tour with Cabins (687113). Five days from Salt Lake City, small group size (that matters for personalized experience), two nights in western log cabins. Both parks. 4.7☆ from 11 reviews. Christine: "Probably the best way to see the parks; leave the driving to someone else." Hemant: "Our guide Mike was outstanding." About $300 per day with cabin nights included. This is the cheapest per-day option if you have five days.

The $2,112 five-day Old Faithful lodge (in-park sleep)

Lodging at Old Faithful: Yellowstone & Grand Teton 5-Day Tour (641485). Five days, two nights at the Old Faithful Snow Lodge INSIDE the park. Salt Lake City departure. This is the dream for some — you sleep 40 miles from the nearest town, ringed by geysers and thermal features. New listing with only 2 reviews, so frame this as honest: thin review history, but the reviews are glowing. 5.0☆. Prabha: "Our tour guide Benson did a great job and was very helpful with our bags." One traveler: "Everything about the hotel was excellent." About $422 per day with in-park lodging.

The $2,199 four-day wildlife adventure (Jackson, all-inclusive)

Yellowstone & Grand Tetons: 4-Day/3-Night Wildlife Adventure (53060). Four days, three nights from Jackson. This one is different: frequent stops in Lamar Valley (the "Serengeti of North America") specifically to hunt bears, wolves, and moose. All-inclusive pricing. 4.9☆ from 151 reviews. Mounika: "Guide Mike showed both wildlife and thermal activity." Donald: "Our guide Marcus was great; we saw all of the wildlife the park had to offer." One honest gripe from Joanna: "The van did not have enough leg room for 8 passengers." About $550 per day.

Multi-day logistics: lodging styles and what they mean

Do multi-day packages really cover both parks?

Yes, but with caveats. The packages say "both parks" but don’t base you in one place for both. Salt Lake City is the hub for three- to five-day options. Jackson (on the two-day and wildlife tour) is on Teton’s south side, but you’re still driving between them. That said, you see both parks fully over the days allocated. Read the combo page if "both parks same base" is important to you.

Insider tip

All prices shown are per person in USD. Book 3–7 days ahead in normal months; further out in summer and holidays. Lodging on the two-day (Gardiner/Chico) is booked separately; three- to five-day packages include cabin or lodge nights in the quoted price.

Frequently asked questions

Which multi-day package should I book?

Two days: $650 two-day from Jackson (Editor's pick, both loops). Three days: $948 from Salt Lake City (forest cabin). Five days: $1,502 (small-group cabin, cheapest per day) or $2,112 (Old Faithful lodge inside the park). Four days: $2,199 wildlife focus from Jackson. Read lodging styles and what they mean.

Is lodging really included in the price?

Two-day: you book lodging separately in Gardiner or Chico. Three to five-day cabins: yes, included. Old Faithful lodge: you pay separately for the room. Wildlife all-inclusive: everything is in the price. Check the GetYourGuide listing for your tour to confirm what is bundled.

Why does the five-day in-park lodge cost more than the cabin option?

Old Faithful lodge is INSIDE Yellowstone, 40 miles from the nearest town. Stays at the lodge command a premium. Forest cabins are nearby but outside the park. The in-park experience is the draw if you want to sleep surrounded by geysers. Read lodging styles for the differences.

Does the wildlife tour really see bears and wolves?

Yes, but chance is never guaranteed. Lamar Valley is the densest wildlife area in the park (bison, elk, pronghorn, bears, wolves). The $2,199 wildlife tour prioritizes it. Reviewer Donald said we saw all of the wildlife the park had to offer. But stay 25 yards from most wildlife, 100 yards from bears and wolves. Read wildlife-viewing expectations.

Do these packages really include both Yellowstone and Grand Teton?

Yes, but read the fine print on your tour listing. Salt Lake City is the hub, and both parks get dedicated time. But this isn't one base for both parks — that doesn't work geographically. All packages route to both parks, just not from one town.

Can I book the day before?

Unlikely. Book 3–7 days ahead in normal months. Summer and holidays, book further out; popular multi-day tours sell out. Free cancellation, so book early and cancel if plans shift.
